The Servant herb is the one that harmonized the effect of those three others. And at the same time supports the swift absorption of the ingredients into the blood system and the respective organs. Chinese herbal formula for infertility treatment
One of the common compounds used to treat infertility is Leonurus Eight Precious Decoction (yi mu tsao ba jen tang). This formula is one of the most popular Chinese herbal remedies addressed to all menstrual disorders in women such as dysmenorrheal, amenorrhea, scanty menstruation and premenstrual syndrome (PMS). It is also used to cure female infertility, postpartum recovery, habitual miscarriage, and general deficiencies of the blood system and liver.
This formula is a blend of two very old Chinese blood and energy tonics, which are Four Item Decoction (she wu tang) and the Four Gentlemen Decoction (she jun dze tang). The first tonic is a blood fortifier, while the last is an energy booster. This ancient formula was firstly prescribed by Dr. Sha Tu-mu in the 14th century. It was then refined with the addition of leonurus – known to enhance gynecological properties – by Dr. Chang Chieh-pin in the 17th century.
A well known Chinese herbal alternative to the above formula is the White Phoenix Pills (Bai Feng Wan) which is very practical to use while at work or traveling. Another alternative patent prescription for Premenstrual Syndrome is the Bupleurum Sedative Pills (Shiao Yao Wan).
