Fi q power handling questions?
ok first the amp i am using is a titanium power amp!!
550 (RMS) at 4ohm
1100 (RMS) at 2ohm
1700 (RMS) at 1ohm
now the subs i have now are 2 15″cvx kickers, and it’s beating the hell out of them..
now i wan’t 2 15″fi q’s and they say they are 1000 watts rms a piece!! and the kicker’s are the same…
so do the fi’s hold up to what they say they will, or am i gonna have to get the bp option on the fi’s?? and how much power will that gain??
Yes, the FIs will hold up to 1000w RMS and more. FIs subs are probably underrated if anything.
If you use that amp then you will not blow those subs (assumming you set the gain correctly).
Why do you want the Qs? If you are looking for loudness I would bet a good amount of money that the Kickers would be louder. They have a higher sensitivity rating then the Qs. The enclosure you put them in would ultimately determine how loud they will be but that if besides the point.
The Qs will give you better sound quality if that is what you are after.
I believe the BP power option adds 200-500w RMS to the power handling of the sub.
