My father had femur bone fracture on both legs.Now he has steel implants.Having too much pain in legs.Help pls
He is having tremendous pain in both his thighs on the front side much below the incision area. (Incision was on back side). It has been 5 1/2 months now and the pain is not reducing. X-Rays’ reports are normal and orthopedic doctor says everthing is fine, but the pain would stay for some more months. He has difficulty in standing and has to walk with much pain usign a walker. Can someone please suggest something? Standard medications like acetaminophen, nimesulide is not helping anymore. Someone suggested Ayurvedic oils from Kerala helps in reducing pain. Any contacts for that? I would be extremely helpful is someone can help as it is equally painful for me to see him in so much pain.
Perhaps your father’s pain is neuropathic. If so, typical analgesics probably won’t be helpful (has he tried tramadol yet??). Medications like neurontin and lamical (be careful with this one) might work, however, if the pain is related to nerve damage . It’s worth a trip to either a pain management clinic or a neurologist to check it out.
