What medication for Polycistic ovaries?
I went to my drs a few months ago as I display all the symptoms for PCS. My doc says “oh yes, it sounds like PCS. The symptoms will lessen if you lose weight” I have tried to lose weight but one of the symptoms of PCS is weight gain and difficulty in shaking it off.
I am also getting excess hair growth. I can hardly talk about it to anyone as it draws attention to it if they have not already noticed.
Is there any medication available? My doc sometimes takes some persuading to write a prescription!! I would also love to hear about any herbal remedies.

Of course the symptoms will get better when you lose weight. The weight loss and the other symptoms getting better will both be caused by you getting treatment for your problem! What kind of idiot doctor do you have? Get a new doctor. One who will do his job and treat you. Shesh.
I have read that birth control pills are the best/only treatment. They will get your hormones (including insulin, in a 2nd hand way) back in line.
