Needle Gun

Needle Gun
Which ear cartilage piercing instrument HURTS less while getting it done : gun or needle?

I know the risk of the gun such as shattered cartilage and infection because they are dirty.

But as for the actual piercing procedure: which hurts less? Which is quicker? Do they do it slowly with the needle?

Also, when they piece it with a needle, is the earing attached to the needle or do they pierce the ear with the needle, take the needle out and then put the earing in? Because that sounds painful?

Needles hurt less than piercing guns. Guns are excessively traumatic and blunt, needles are not, they’re as sharp and as gentile as possible, when regarding slicing through the body.

Which is faster? Well it’s no doubt that a needle piercing will take more of your time than a gun piercing, but this is because your piercer will take the time to sterilize before hand, and clean up/give you correct aftercare when you’re done. The piercing itself only takes seconds whether you’re getting gunned or pierced with a needle. The needle is not slower. They don’t ease it through your ear, layer by layer, it’s just a quick stab.

The jewelry will not be attached to the needle while your piercer does the piercing. Instead you will be pierced, the needle will be left in your skin for a second, while the piercer grabs your jewelry. At this point your piercer will stick your jewelry into the hollow back of the needle, and will pull both the needle and jewelry through in one quick motion. With a needle piercing, the piercer does not remove the needle, and then try and get the jewelry in. That doesn’t work well, and yes, it would be painful.

All things considered, the needle is neither slower, nor more painful than a gun piercing (in terms of pain it should be the opposite actually), doesn’t really cost that much more, and is loads safer. Why would anyone go with a gun piercing instead?
