Herbal supplements and anti-depressants?
Do you think it’s okay to take herbal supplements such as mood stabilizers and memory enhancers (the expensive kind, not the rockstar type stuff) when taking anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medication?
It entirely depends on the herb and the medication!!
Whenever herbs/drugs have CNS-active properties there’s particular potential for interactions. Combining herbs with psycho-active drugs is not the domain of the lay-person. It requires in-depth understanding of the pharmocognosy (and regular monitoring is often necessary.)
