Chardonnay White Wine: The World’s Favorite
Chardonnay is known to be world’s favorite Arguably that might be true as Chardonnay grapes are the most widely grown variety on earth. A number of wine drinkers might not be pleased with such claim. But no one would ever debunk the fact that Chardonnay white wine is America’s favorite. A New York Times report stated that the Chardonnay vines in America outnumber the red wine vines altogether. And why shouldn’t the Chardonnay be well-liked? Although its grapes are sensitive and prone to being oxidized, it’s easy to take care of and feasible to raise in warm or cold climate.
But an Australian white wine like the Chardonnay has better attributes than just that. The Chardonnay wine is also wonderfully varied in terms of vinification. It may be flinty, buttery, or it may have a New World taste filled with tropical flavors. This shows how the Chardonnay is also referred to as White Burgundy or Chaglis, as it is originally a produce of Macon, Burgundy in France. The wine it produces is generally neutral and is terroir (flint, mineral, mint) or oak (coconut, vanilla, sweet wood) flavored. Chardonnays are also common ingredients for sparkling wines and champagne.
So why are people crazy about this wine wine again? This Australian white wine is like a fine blend of the best white wines. It brings about a consolidation of modern and traditional wine taste. Even though it’s light and refined, it still expels a ton of notes and flavors that white wines are appreciated for. The Chardonnay white wine has varietal aromas of stone, tropical and citrus fruits. Some of its fine flavors are that of pear and apple, sour fruits like lime and kiwi, and even that of apricot, banana, or watermelon. It also adopts some flavors upon process like butter and hazelnut. Some Chardonnays can be floral and herbaceous as well. Its best food matches are seafood, white meat, chicken or beef curry, and creamy entrees. Today the Chardonnay white wine is so highly developed that some come unoaked. The more sophisticated the drinkers become, the more sophisticated it gets.
