What should I do?
I lost everything in a house fir e 3 months ago and am still waiting for my settlement. My sister got donations from her church 3 weeks ago. She finally told me about it last week, she said that she isnt going to send it to me until she sees what I do with my settlement money. She doesnt want it wasted. My 2 children are living in a small apartment and have no furniture, no phone, just essentials. I am upset with her because I asked today to send me the money for the rent payment on the apartment and she refused. Should I let the church know, or should I just tell her to stick it where the sun don’t shine and borrow the money from a friend.
The money was donated for YOU – not for her to hoard over you. Tell her that if she’s so worried about how you’re going to spend the money, to use it to directly pay the things you need to – like the rent and bills and such. That way, those things get paid, and she knows exactly what it’s going for. Is there some reason though that she doesn’t trust you with the money?
