a data point from an ayurvedic health spa states that its beneficial to drink hot water .. anybody agree?
they stated that the spring is the proper tim to cleanse or detox the body and that drinking approximately 6 glasses of hot water / day will help the body cleanse. does anyone have any 1st hand experience with this ???
Well, they aren’t wrong…. but it’s a bit mis-leading, too.
Yes, water does help to cleanse and detox, although I’m surprised they say only 6 glasses daily… unless it’s 6 extra glasses a day. However, your body doesn’t distinguish between hot and cold because the temperature will equalize in your body to about 98 degrees either way.
I’ve heard some people say that cold water shocks your system, which is possible for a few seconds while it warms up… but that wouldn’t have any impact on detox because that would happen well after that.
