How do organic farmers make such good apples?
For years now i have had an apple tree. every year, the bugs get it before us. we have to cut out the bad parts. how do organic (we don’t use pesticide) farmers make such good and bugless apples? We grow yellow delicious.
It is all about nutrients in your dirt. As odd as it sounds it boils down to not only being natural but scientific as well. It requires the right amount of acid and lime in the soil to grow its best. Also with the right nutrients your trees will produce thier own natural pesticide that keeps the bugs away. Another thing you can try is a green house or even a net around the tree in order to keep the bugs out. I am not sure on all the specifics of the requirements for nutrients of your tree. You may have to research that yourself. But I have taken 3 years in Agriculture class and came out on top each year with my growing plants. Goodluck.
