How Your Body Is Affected By Your Food
Food experts and parents up and down the country have been warning us since the beginning of time that “we are what we eat”. What they mean by this of course is that whatever we put into our mouths has a direct influence on our health, fitness, beauty and even mood. It has got to stage now where you move for being told what you can and can’t put in your mouth. However, if you are not an expert its pretty hard to filer out the really important info, so here is is for you, the foods with the biggest influence on our insides and out.
Salt. Up until relatively recently, salt was not considered to be a bad thing for us and was rife in lots of peoples diets. 6g of the stuff is what the UK Food Standard Agency states we should not be exceeding per day if possible. More salt might be needed by people who lose a lot through sweating or by diluted body salt levels by drinking lots of water. For 90% of people however, a reduction in salt levels is advisable as it has been closely linked with heart, blood and liver problems. Rather than put it in your body, salt is good at conditioning skin and is in fact an ingredient in numerous skin care products
Fats. There are types of fat that are vital to the functioning of our body, including maintain organs, skin and vision. However these are unsaturated fats and not the saturated fats (also known as trans fats) that are unfortunately too prominent in lots of people’s diets. Put simply, eating too many saturated fats will not only make you fat but could also cause heart disease, organ failure and diabetes to name a few. It won’t matter how many times you get a manicure, your appearance and health will not be great if you don’t watch your fats
Water. This is not something you eat of course, but you should not underestimate the power of the H20. Although many experts suggest you drink 2lts a day, it really depends on myriad factors such as age, location, activeness etc. Water is used in every element of the bodies functioning but also has a large impact in appearance, so if you drink enough of the stuff you won’t need to have skin firming treatments quite so often
