7 Eczema Natural Treatment
Eczema is an inflamed skin condition that can occur to anyone. Typically, it is more common in children. Eczema skin problems can be mild to severe and are characterized by redness, dryness, patches, scales and pink inflammation. For some people this can develop into blisters that leak fluid, thick leathery skin and roughness.
1. Calamine lotion, lanolin and natural oils such as olive oil may reduce the itching caused by eczema.
2. Blueberry leaf lotion or extract. Blueberry leaves naturally contain nutrients which can work wonders on your skin. The secret is something called chlorogenic acid, which acts as a natural anti inflammatory anywhere you apply it, so you can actively fight to reduce the itching and swelling. This is great because you can apply it directly to the most affected areas. You should be able to find some form of Blueberry Leaf ointment or lotion at your local healthcare shop or skincare specialists.
3. It is a wonderful natural remedy for the treatment of eczema. It would also help you to relax. Several types of oatmeal baths are very effective in soothing the inflamed and itchy skin. These baths are quite easy to go with. For this, you may add one or more cups of oatmeal with lukewarm water and then bath with it. In case, you are feeling very itchy, then in that case, you can add more oatmeal to the bathing water. Apply moisturizer to your skin, after the bath, for best results.
4. Prevent dry skin by taking warm (not hot) showers rather than baths. Use a mild soap or body cleanser. Dry yourself very carefully and apply moisturizing skin lotions all over your body. Avoid lotions with fragrances or other irritating substances.
5. Wrapping the affected areas of the skin in loose cotton bandages or covering them with cool moist cloths may reduce itching and swelling, although this may not be appropriate for infants or young children.
6. Flaxseed Oil. A teaspoon or two of Flaxseed oil each day can do wonders for your skin in general, as well as helping reduce the overall signs of Eczema. The downside to this is that it can take a while for results to show-you will just need to be consistent and keep taking it each day. You may also find that you experience greater results with an increased dosage, so it is definitely a cure which may require some experimentation to get the best from. You should be able to find flaxseed oil at your local drugstore or healthcare specialist.
7. The use of coconut oil Virgin is perfect for dry and cracked skin due to eczema moisturizing. Virgin coconut oil has natural oils which are ideal for the human skin in hydrating it. Two tablespoons of safflower oil is good for improving the skin condition.
