My mouth burns like crazy when there is black pepper in any recipe that I eat…..Why?
When adding black pepper to recipes or just to my plate, I seem to sneeze way more that the average person does. Also, when I eat foods seasoned with pepper, my mouth burns
like it is on fire. Does anyone have any idea why and/or is it possible to be allergic to pepper?
Sounds like you have a sensitivity to it more then being allergic..
Allergic reactions generally include difficulty breathing and/or Swallowing. Sensitivity is usually tearing eyes,sneezing, tongue burning and feeling uncomfortable.
An allergist can do a RAST(RadioAllergoSorbent Test.) to check and see if you are allergic, but it’s probably best to just avoid it when you can.
