how do you set up a ball python enclosure in a plastic sterilite container?
i decided to save money and many snake breeders said a plastic container would be a GREAT home for a snake . i need to know how to set it up . some images would be nice as well. do you put a heat pad on half of the sterilite bin ? what would you do about the basking ? please answer asap i need answers. and please be specific
a adult would best thrive in a 90-105 quart tub or at least 30inches long by 15 or twenty wide with about 12 to 20 inches of height, you don’t have to have the container half covered with a heat pad 1/3 of coverage works great for me, have the basic two hides and water bowl and some foliage for them to explore but since ball pythons are nocturnal species they do not even need a heat lamp/ basking lap if your heat pad trows off enough heat. for air to flow well drill 1/4 inch holes around the container, this will give proper air control and set up your thermometer probes under each hide and have a hydrometer setup to make sure the humidity is up to par
