A Review Of Mario Badescu Drying Lotion For Acne
To stop pimples developing it is best to use a drying lotion. Acne bacteria love oil, so removing the oil from a pimple deters the pimple developing further.
Drying up excessive oils in the skin can be achieved with the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion which is a best seller in their skincare product range.
The ingredients are: Isopropyl Alcohol, Deionized Water (Aqua), Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Talc, Calamine, Camphor, Colloidal Sulfur, Salicylic Acid, Glycerine.
Note: If you are allergic to sulfur this would not be recommended for you.
Half of the bottle contains a thick pink solution while the other half is a clear, dense solution. Calamine, a skin smoothing ingredient is in the bottom half.
The top half of the bottle has the acne fighting ingredients.
It is recommended to use the Drying Lotion at bedtime. The bottle will last a long time as only a little is used each time which makes it inexpensive to use.
To keep the calamine seperate for coating the applicator bud the bottle should not be shaken.
Use a cotton bud to apply, dipping it in to just touch the pink solution before taking it out.
There is a slight tingling drying sensation when applied but it is also quite soothing because of the calamine in the lotion. There is a slight smell from the colloidal sulphur but this does not linger.
Any solution remaining is easily washed off in the morning and the pimple will usually have dried up and disappeared. It may be necessary to repeat a second night.
It can be applied under makeup during the day but best results are from overnight use.
Mario Badescu drying lotion is a very effective acne control product. The redness, irritation, and swelling from pimples are reduced by applying the lotion as directed. It also helps cystic pimples to go away quicker.
This is not a cure all for acne, because there is no such thing.
Mario Badescu Drying Lotion is best used for preventing acne to develop.
For anyone with mild acne this product is highly recommended. Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion, which is specially designed to treat large, deep cystic acne is a better choice for more severe acne.
