Which are the cases the uric acid and C reactive protien level increases in the blood?
I have a problem of pain and swelling in my joints and dandruff like formation in the scalp. I did the consultation with ortho doctor he referred me to do some kind of tests in the blood, finally we get the test report with high level of Uric acid (5.5mg) and C reactive Protien level.The x ray report shows that the joints are become weak and there is no formation of uric acid crystals in the joints…………
It sounds like you have gout or some form of arthritis. You have to check what foods that you eat that are high in uric acid and try to avoid this.
Based on my studies and experience, CRP or C reactive protein is not only a future marker of a cardiovascular event but it is also a marker for infection/inflammation. CRP is usually elevated in people with some form of arthritis during acute inflammation. The possible explanation why your CRP level is high because you have an ongoing inflammation on the joints. Most likely the doctor will order another CRP level check to see if the inflammation is resolving.
